Team Enginer's mission is to promote affordable automotive engine technologies that dramatically improve fuel efficiency to 100 MPG.
The 100-year-old ICE technology seems aging due to its low thermal efficiency of merely 20% in typical cases. The rest 80% is dissipated into atmosphere primarily as waste heat.
Team Enginer has successfully developed a Steam Combustion Engine conversion kit (patent pending) that is easy to be installed into existing vehicles, and able to capture waste heat by its water heat absorbing, water injection and evaporating system. Steamed water finally becomes useful mechanical power to drive the engine.
Enginer's preliminarily data have shown 100% increase in thermal efficiency while the conversion kit costs only round US$500--It could be the most efficient and cost effective approach in automotive engines in the world comparing to other technologies such as hybrid, fuel cell or hydrogen.
Another cost effective technology that Team Enginer is promoting is the Hybrid Plug-in Electric Vehicle (PHEV) that completely pulls us off fossil fuel. The PHEV conversion kits are available at an affordable price of merely US$1995/ US$2995 (2KW / 4KW) .
Team Enginer has been developing a highly efficient (40%-80%) 5KW Steam Micro Turbine Engine that is small (17x10x10 inches) and easy to be installed into existing electric vehicles as range extender and heater, and at home furnace system for both electricity and heat. The estimate mass production cost is under $500.
Team Enginer now has the honor to participate in Progressive Insurance Automotive X Prize competition to demonstrate its radical technology breakthroughs. The Team is looking for sponsor supports in order to successfully perform in the race.
